International Theosophy Conferences is governed by a Board of Directors and Officers. Together they organize annual International Theosophy Conferences. They discuss the conference theme, location and contents of the upcoming conference and make sure that everything is well taken care of. The Officers are in charge of carrying out and supervising the decisions of the Directors and maintaining the organization’s compliance with regulatory guidelines.
The Board meets monthly via internet and consists of 5 members at minimum and 13 at maximum. Terms for all board members are 3 years in length and members are eligible to serve multiple consecutive terms. Prior to the annual International Theosophy Conference, the Board usually has a one-day retreat.

Process following Nomination
Following receipt of a nomination for a director position the Nominating Committee will verify eligibility of the nominee. Once confirmation of their intention to run in the election and willingness to serve is established, the nominee is then considered “official” and is asked to provide a biography and motivation based on a short questionnaire as a suggested guideline.
Once official, the nominee is listed on the ITC website with the biography and motivation and 2-3 ITC-members’ references to support the candidacy as a nominee for the next elections.
The membership will have the opportunity to learn about the nominees by viewing the biographies and motivations that will be published on the website at least one month prior to the election.
Voting & Election Process
Voting for Directors takes place in person or by e-mail ballot during the Annual Membership Meeting usually held in August after the International Theosophy Conference.
For the election during ITC 2019 the voting takes place on the Annual Membership Meeting on the 28th of July.
The deadline for e-mail-voters is: July 27.
