Eugene Jennings
My name is Eugene Jennings. I am currently a student of theosophy, affiliated with the ULT, New York City lodge. In that capacity I complete duties as needed, inclusive of giving talks, participating in discussions and symposiums, and supporting my fellow students as I can. Additionally, I also participate as time allows in cross-pollination efforts related to other theosophical organizations, mainly giving talks. In doing so I realize each have their mission, perspective and purpose in the global space of the Theosophical movement. Each has their genius.
I have been affiliated with ITC in its pre organizational form since its early inception in 2006 with Jim and Sally Colbert, helping keep alive theirs and others dream of real communal work. This reflects the ideas of intercommunication, respect, and work with and alongside theosophical students from other organizations, or as independents in a mutually respectful and appreciative manner. I have supported and served its various purposes as member, vice president, and president. (As president, in truth all credit for work performed is due to the diligence and dedication of the board members working in concert with myself.) In doing so, I have contributed to the preparation and completion of a majority of its conferences, involving overseeing, planning and serving in any capacity when and as needed in carrying out its goals.
For myself, the uniqueness of all the conferences means that each person gave and will continue to share a part of their spirituality with others. Doing so, each awakens something special that is of value to all participants, while actually furthering the nuclear bond of a universal Humanity amongst theosophists firstly, and then perhaps the world.
Why do I support the 4 purposes? Given that our Original Teachers know and insist that our doctrine as originally presented, holds and offers the “consistent solution” to the problems concerning the great dual principles of life, right and wrong, good and evil …, it is with such a true and unique philosophy, its understanding and application being made a living power in the heart and mind of Humanity, through deep understanding, mutual respect and meaningful communication, carried out by a nucleus of students united in sharing Theosophical Philosophy while continuing to explore all branches of knowledge and wisdom in its light. This is their vision, in which I hope to share. Why? Because perhaps this idea and ideal, is the only meaningful endeavor that can result in an impersonal, non-partial Universal Brotherhood of Humanity, working together for the good of all life, and its spiritual evolutionary progress.
